For baking and Pastry – applying egg wash, milk, or butter to pastries, bread, and pie crusts for a golden-brown finish. Glazing – spreading fruit glazes, simple syrup or melted chocolate on cakes, tarts and donuts. Basting meats – spreading marinades, barbecue sauces, butter, or pan drippings over roasting meats, chicken and ribs. Soft nylon bristles do not shed, ensuring no stray hairs in food – for even application of medium without deforming the food.

The handle includes a built-in hook designed to hang on the edge of pots, pans or bain-maries, with no messes on the counter. This prevents the brush from slipping into the hot liquid, keeps the handle clean and protects the nylon bristles from melting against a hot pan bottom.
